What is this "streaming" thing?
Put simply, streaming is act of sending audio (or video) over a network or the internet. For our purposes, streaming means you have live audio you feed into one of our StreamBeacon's and we make it available for people to listen to anywhere in the world where internet is available.
What do I have to do to stream?
Ours is a simple process: order a StreamBeacon, receive the unit, plug in power, internet, audio, and turn the unit on. The first time the unit boots up, it will say hello to our server, which will perform some configuration and automatically start your stream! If you've got your audio plugged in, you will be streaming live!
How does it really work?
Magic.

Under the hood of a StreamBeacon lies a reliable Linux-based PC with a rugged solid-state hard drive, ready for years of constant service. That unit encodes your audio and ships it out to our servers. Once that's going, those wishing to listen need only click a link or web-based player to start.
